Individuals with intellectual disabilities encounter numerous obstacles when seeking and maintaining employment. These challenges often include difficulties related to effective communication, limited social skills, grasping new responsibilities, and adapting to workplace changes. These hurdles impede their professional growth and underscore the importance of creating inclusive and supportive work environments that cater to their unique needs.

At Stepping Stones Achievement Center, Inc.,we provide employment assistance to help them overcome these barriers and achieve their work goals. These may include:

  • Job coaching: To provide individualized support and guidance to a person with intellectual disabilities at the workplace.
  • Job development: To help people with intellectual disabilities find a suitable job that matches their life skills, interests, and abilities.
  • Job retention: To help a person with intellectual disabilities to maintain their employment and advance their career.

At Stepping Stones Achievement Center, Inc.,our employment assistance helps people with intellectual disabilities gain confidence, independence, and satisfaction from working. Our goal is to promote inclusion and empowerment for people with intellectual disabilities.

Our non-profit organization in Houston, Texas,comprises qualified and compassionate professionals dedicated to helping our clients achieve their goals and overcome challenges.

In addition to employment assistance, we also offer the following programs and services: respite care, Individual Skills & Socialization Services (ISS), and Extended Program/ Afterschool Program.
